It was great to be in the studio last weekend doing something a little different, taking some actor headshot’s. We did some studio photos and then took advantage of the nice soft overcast light and went to a skate park for a little more urban feel…

I never get tired of meeting newborn babies! There is something so wondrous about meeting a brand new person and watching them adjust to the outside world :) I photographed big sister Maddy when she was just a newborn as well so it was wonderful to see how she has grown up and changed….

What a pleasure it was to get an email from Sara telling me they wanted to get new portraits because they had a new little boy in the family! I love surprise emails like that :) I first photographed Todd and Sarah’s wedding many moons ago…. Back in the days when I just shot film! I’ve lost track of how many years it’s been but they just had one little boy at our last session… They are such a sweet family and their boys are just wonderful….. It was so nice to see them all again, here are my favorites from our session last week….

After my last studio photo shoot my 3 year old son was desperate to come out to the studio to take some photos of my clients… I was able to convince him that his teddy bears needed a professional photo so here he is hard at work…

This photo makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time! What a little gem!

New album to introduce you to…

I’m really excited to show off the latest studio sample album.. The images are from a lovely wedding from last fall, Michelle and Michael.

It’s got the most gorgeous silver linen cover…. I love it! It’s modern but still warm… And it’s got a fabulous subtle texture….

It’s a square album and comes in a 20, 30 or 40 page album. It can be added to any wedding package! How great is that! Also comes in a black box for storage…

The book is actually mounted with real photographs so the colours and the tones of the images really pop! Each page is flush-mounted for a very contemporary feel…

I love how the pages lay completely flat…..

It has been a 3 years since I photographed this lovely family and as you can see from the first two pictures these two brothers have grown up a lot! They are the most loving gentle boys ever and they are truly a joy to photograph! Thank you for a great photo session, here are some of my faves…
